We finally saw the balloons take off. The past 2 years we have gone it was too windy but this year we got a great show. There wasn't a mass ascenscion but there were around 500 balloons up at once. The special shapes took off from the field and then all the other balloons flew in later for a contest to see who could hit poles on the field and throw bean bags into targets on the ground. Here, Posey is a little upset about all the noise and being up so early.

Those crazy Germans like to take off last in their Darth Vader balloon to get a little more attention. It is definitely one of the crowd favorites and most people like to get a photo with one of the accompanying storm troopers.

Here we are leaving the park. It was time for me to go to work, Posey to go play with friends, and Jessica to go get her eyes checked out.
