On the way home from getting 20 pounds of apples from Manzano Mountain Retreat we stopped by the Quarai ruins. This church was built in the early 1600s. Posey loved running around in it and kept sitting down in the rooms declaring them boo-ti-ful. She also remarked on our drive here "pile of trees, mama?" pointing out a hill covered in trees.
In this room there was a square kiva in the floor, which Posey declared, "people there, snacks, potty" Gotta love that kind of logic.
Posey was sure that this was a castle and there were pirates here. On the drive to it we couls see the giant three story church on the horizon and she proclaimed it castle. By the end of the visit HP and i were both referring to it as the castle.
