Our campsite at 9000 ft. The weather was wonderful.
Posey and Waylon playing next to the Santa Barbara River. Throwing rocks into the water and wading into the sandy parts was their favorite.
Posey did an extraordinary job hiking. She hiked farther than she ever had before. Of course there was still lots of carrying both of them. At one time I had Posey on my shoulders and Waylon on my back for a total of 55 pounds.
Here is Jessica and Waylon crossing the river. The bridge was under construction...which is odd because this is in a wilderness area.
Waylon showing off his climbing skills. I love his posing face. I believe he was so encouraged by his successes that he successfully climbed out of his crib when we got home (first time!).-HP
