2012 Balloon Fiesta: Part III

Balloon Fiesta Part III.  Grandma and I headed out to Balloon Fiesta with the kids last Sunday, but not like usual.  Waylon got thirsty so I handed him the Nalgene.  I forgot about it and continued to drive while he spilled a 1/4 of it all over him.  Then the fuel light came on and we had to give up our spot in line to get gas.  We ended up watching the Dawn Patrol from the gas station, which was quite nice.  By the time we changed Waylon into Zinnia's pants and underpants, the balloons were on their way up.  We skipped the Park and headed for the radio towers nearby so that we could at least watch them from a reasonable distance.  It doesn't come close to standing right next to them as they go up, but the kids could dig in the dirt and run around with large sticks.

I think the kids had a good time
